Hello and Welcome to the new Miniature Horse Association Of Ireland ..(MHAI Ltd) Our mission is to create a standard of excellence in Irish Miniature horses, and to improve and protect the welfare of these horses. The aim of the Miniature Horse Association Of Ireland is to give a better understanding not just to the owners but also to the public on the welfare of the horses. Horses that are registered with the MHAI must meet the standard of perfection and cannot exceed 34'' for Section A and under 38'' for Section B which is measured at the withers. We will be running seminars and qualifng shows throughout the year with a Championship final being held at Cavan Equestrian Centre in August 2008. The top 3 of each Championship class automatically qualify for MHOYS run by the International Miniature Horse and Pony Society (IMHPS) in the UK on October 4th & 5th 2008. So whether your interested is in breeding, showing, driving, liberty classes, obstacles classes, or for the younger owners, we will have a young handlers class for under 12year olds, the MHAI will have something for everyone to have fun with their miniature horse.
