What activities can you do with your Miniature Horse ? Miniature Horses can turn their hooves to almost anything ! You can show them in hand at showmanship classes , enter them in jumping classes , liberty classes or train them to drive. What Height does my miniature have to be ? MHAI have two height categories for their clases .. Section A which is all Miniature horses up to 34inches in height at the withers and Section B is over 34 inches but not exceeding 38 inches What is liberty classes ? Liberty Classes is where you turn your horse loose in the show arena ( Enclosed arena of course !) and let him walk trot canter or gallop to music, when your music ends you shoud be able to walk over to your mini and catch him , points are awarded for paces, conformation and obedience. What do I need to wear for showing my miniature horse ? Usually a miniature horse should be shown with either a beaded show halter or plain leather headcollar. No coloured nylon headcollars are allowed. The Handler should be dressed neatly and smartly with no jeans or runners allowed ! |
